What is Mastering?

"Mastering is the last creative step in the audio production process, the bridge between mixing and replication -- your last chance to enhance sound or repair problems in an acoustically-designed room -- an audio microscope. Mastering engineers lend an objective, experienced ear to your work; we are familiar with what can go wrong technically and esthetically .... we may help you work on that problem song you just couldn`t get right in the mix, or add the final touch that makes a record sound finished and playable on a wide variety of systems." - Kon-Tempt

How can mastering my files help me or my recording?

* Take out hiss and other unwanted noise

* Raise the songs dynamics for a full range sound

* Smooth out high or low spots for a more professional level

* Remove "bad" frequencies left over from the original recording

* Add needed frequencies not produced in the original recording

*Give your songs all the same finished sound for an even, professional CD

*Run songs together or "Crossfade" for a continuous sound with CD track markers.

*Many techniques used in mastering depend heavily on the original file and are too numerouse to mention here, this is only to give you and idea of how mastering helps give you a professional, submittable, sellable final product.

Mastering - Record somewhere else, send us your music and we`ll master it for the best possible quality and professional sound. Masters supplied in wav format via the internet for a quick turnaround.

NOTE: We keep archives of all recordings, if you damage or lose your master files, we can supply you with new ones for a minimal fee.

Noise removal

A short version of our mastering service, we can run your audio files through our computers and remove noise and hiss that you might not even know is there unless you were to listen to your songs on a hi-fi system. NOTE: This service is highly recommended for noisy recordings that came from cassette or LP`s, and is very affordable.

Live Recording Mastering

Combination of the above mentioned services which can give even the rawest of live recordings that officially recorded sound.

*We DO NOT provide duplication services

*We DO NOT provide artwork or cover design, layout etc. services

Requirements for mastering services are below:

*Songs must be mixed down in a professional manner (at least semi-pro). We Do Mastering Not Miracles.

*Artist must approve one song master before the rest are processed.

*No refunds given after mastering is done, remember you approve it before being charged.
