KON-TEMPT'S NEW CHARITY CAMPAIGNposted on 19 January 2008Steve (37) from Bolton and Dan (34) from Peterborough are two men who aim to spend 2008 making a difference to people who desperately need their help. Initially we had the idea of doing the Plymouth Banjoul rally but rather than buy a banger for 100 quid to be auctioned off to charity we decided to make a difference and help a local community to support itself. To this end we contacted the Mayor of Bamako through the rotary club. The Mayor was thankful for any aid we could provide and specifically requested any medical aid and ambulances to be used in the Koulikoro area of Mali. We resolved to provide them not with one but two fully functional and equipped ambulances suitable for the harsh African environment where they will be used to provide emergency aid to 49,000 people currently residing in the 220sq km area of Kalaban Coro currently without any vehicular or emergency aid.
